Basics
The basis of our pedagogical work is to create a place where all children feel welcome and are accompanied in their development individually and holistically. Through recurring structures and rituals, we offer the children security and orientation in their everyday life at the daycare center. At the same time, we create opportunities for participation in everyday decisions The "Deutzer Wiese" daycare center (Deutz district/near Kalk) is scheduled to open on 15.09.22 with one U3 group and half a Ü3 group. We will initially start with 10 children under 3 years and 10 children over 3 years. In the future, 60 children will be cared for here in 4 groups from the age of four months until they start school. The opening of the other groups will take place gradually so that the children can bring in their own ideas and perceptions.
Planned focal points:
1. creative focus: the children are given the opportunity to deal with their environment creatively and with all their senses. This is because creating with different materials (e.g. colors, clay, sand, natural materials) offers numerous opportunities to discover the world and expand their own experiences. In addition, fine motor skills, body coordination and the ability to concentrate are promoted. Last but not least, the children should let the Kita become their place visually.
2. "Prejudice-conscious education": We live in a diverse society. Therefore, we strengthen the children in their identity and uniqueness. By consciously addressing differences and commonalities and positioning ourselves against prejudice and discrimination, we want to make our daycare a sensitive, empowering and vibrant place. For example, it is important to us that every child can rediscover themselves (and their family) in children's books and play materials.
