Please also read the information on admission criteria. A personal registration at the Herz Jesu day care centre is absolutely necessary! Only children who have been personally registered at the day care centre can be considered for the admission criteria.

The facility has a spacious room programme. In addition to the group room, each group unit has corresponding adjoining and differentiation rooms. The spacious corridor areas are used as play areas and are available to the children within the framework of the partially open concept. A bistro area has also been set up there.

Outdoor Facilities

The 2,000 square metre outdoor area, which is close to nature and designed in a variety of ways, offers numerous opportunities for movement and educational stimuli.

Daily Schedule

An overview of our daily routine:

8 to 9:15 a.m. Bring phase

9:15 to 11 a.m. Free play phase, the children use all play areas in the house and garden

11 a.m. joint activity at group level

12 to 1 p.m. Lunch

1 to 2 p.m. Nap / play phase in the group room

2 to 3 p.m. Free play phase, pick-up phase

Basics

We see ourselves as partners in education. Together with parents, we accompany the children in their development. Trusting contact is particularly important to us.

At the annual parents' meeting, the parents elect the parents' council.

In addition, representatives of the provider, representatives of the staff and representatives of the parents form the day care centre's council. In this committee we discuss all matters concerning the day care centre together.

Employee

Our educational staff work according to recognised standards and participate in their further development. They are constantly improving their professional qualifications through various training courses and further education.
Good cooperation and a lively exchange are important to us.

Our pedagogical approach is based on the situation-oriented and open approach. Our way of working is oriented towards the respective realities of life as well as the current interests and needs of the children.

Our educational goals are based on fundamental Christian values. Our faith in God is a force that brings people together and forms the basis for Christian community. We teach the children about life with God and get to know the church as a place of encounter.

As part of the Sankt Clemens and Mauritius Family Centre, our cooperation partners are the Bildungswerk and the Christliche Sozialhilfe Köln.
