The St. Remigius daycare centre is located between the church and the parish centre in the immediate vicinity of the Rhine and the Sürther Rheinwiesen meadows, which also offer the children space to move in nature.
In addition to the age-appropriate development and education of the individual child, the guiding theme of our centre is the teaching of values and standards that make living together in our society worthwhile. Our educational approach is to see the individual child as a person, to recognise them and to support them according to their situation. The implementation of the education agreement is an integral part of our work. Our motto "God holds the whole world in his hand, he also holds you and me" runs through our work every day and is the basis for our educational and religious pedagogical task. As a Catholic day care centre, we see ourselves as part of a lively community in which parents, pastoral team and staff work together closely and in a spirit of trust, thus laying the foundation for the children to lead an independent and self-confident life in the Christian community.

There is close co-operation with the nearby Brüder Grimm School. There is a regular exchange of expertise.
Close cooperation between parents and educational staff, characterised by openness and trust, is the basis for successful educational work. Door-to-door discussions and regular development meetings are essential for us to maintain a close educational partnership for the benefit of the child and their positive development. Parents' craft evenings, parties, reading aloud time, joint group breakfasts and other activities contribute to the trusting co-operation between parents and educational staff.
