Current information

Introduction/specifics

The facility is run by the Catholic Church and is located in the Vogelsang district, adjacent to St. Viktor's Church.

The daycare center cares for a total of 62 children aged two to school age.

Special feature of the facility: Catholic family center

Rooms

The facility comprises a large entrance hall with various play options on two levels, three bright group rooms with adjoining side rooms and washrooms.

Each group has a separate bedroom.

For particularly extensive exercise options, we have a spacious gym and a generous outdoor area where children can satisfy their urge to move and explore in a variety of ways.

Food

The children bring their breakfast and an afternoon snack from home. Lunch is provided by the facility. The facility has a kitchen staff who cook fresh meals every day. When planning the menu, we follow the guidelines for healthy child nutrition.

Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are an integral part of the daily routine. We supplement the set meals with fruit and vegetables for in between meals.

Drinks such as water, milk, unsweetened tea, and juice spritzers are available to the children throughout the day. The teachers make sure that the children drink enough fluids throughout the day.

Basics

“Here, little ones make it big—learning for life through play” In order to provide children with a realistic and comprehensive education and upbringing, our educational work is based on the situational approach. This means that when determining learning areas and learning goals, we focus on the individual situation of each child, taking into account their current and future life. The focus and starting point of our educational work is always the child, with their needs, interests, and experiences. We believe that children learn most intensively and sustainably through their own experiences, which are based on independent and guided action. “The child is the agent of their own development.” Tell me and I will forget, show me and I will remember, let me do it and I will understand.

Employee

Our team consists of dedicated and motivated professionals who treat the children with joy, commitment, understanding, appreciation, and curiosity.

Teamwork with school

The institution works closely with local elementary schools. Cooperation meetings are held every six months.

Teamwork with parents

Cooperation with parents Close and trusting cooperation between parents and staff is the basis for the optimal development of the child. This cooperation includes respectful interaction, trusting communication, and regular exchange. Parent-teacher conferences are held at regular intervals to discuss the child's development. Staff strengthen and support parents in their parenting skills by providing advice and information. We inform parents about our educational work by making the content transparent through parent-teacher conferences, parent-teacher meetings, and notices.
