Current information

Introduction/specifics

Our daycare center sees itself as a place where children can find security, education, and a wide range of experiences. It is particularly important to us to create a loving, development-promoting environment that meets the needs and interests of the children and offers them security and freedom to develop. We combine education, care, and upbringing into a holistic concept that strengthens children in their development, promotes their independence, and teaches them valuable life skills.

Rooms

The premises are designed to provide orientation and stimulation at the same time. In addition to the group rooms, which include various play and learning areas such as creative, reading, and table game areas, the children also have access to adjoining rooms such as a role-play room and a construction room. In the U-groups, rooms such as an exercise room and a bedroom are available to the children. This allows the children to pursue their individual interests, develop their imagination, and implement new play ideas. Our gym/multipurpose room expands these possibilities with a targeted exercise program that is an integral part of everyday life.

Outdoor Facilities

Our outdoor area offers children a wide range of opportunities for physical activity and experiencing nature. Various play equipment invites them to climb, swing, and explore, while open green spaces provide room for role-playing, group activities, and observing nature. Here, children consciously experience all seasons and develop a feeling for nature and the environment. In projects with parents and children, we also emphasize sustainability, for example by planting flowers and vegetable beds together.

Daily Schedule

The daily routine is clearly structured and offers children security and guidance. Rituals such as morning circle time, shared meals, and fixed rest periods provide children with stability, while flexible phases such as free play allow room for individual development. We take particular care to strike a balance between reliability and freedom of choice.

Food

We offer children balanced meals that are designed in accordance with the recommendations of the German Nutrition Society. Fruit and vegetables are seasonal in order to promote sustainability and awareness of healthy eating. Meals are eaten together, with great emphasis placed on voluntary participation and self-determination. Children decide for themselves how much they want to eat and whether they want to try new things—this teaches them to recognize their own needs and take responsibility for themselves.

Basics

The educational work of our institution is based on the educational mandate of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, a situation-oriented approach, and our own in-house concept. We see children as active participants in their own development and create an environment that promotes safety, independence, curiosity, and holistic learning.

Employee

Our educational team consists of social education workers, state-certified specialists, childcare workers, and social assistants. All employees bring different qualifications and areas of expertise to the table, which complement each other well in our daily work.

Qualification

Through regular training and continuing education, we ensure that we are always working at the cutting edge of educational practice.

Additional Offerings

In addition to everyday educational activities, we offer targeted support services provided by our special education teacher and speech therapist, in close consultation with parents.

Quality Assurance

We ensure our quality through regular team meetings, continuous reflection, structured observation and documentation procedures, and the close involvement of parents in their children's development process. In addition, we regularly evaluate our work in order to adapt our services and structures to current needs.

Cooperations

We work closely with our partner institution in the district, with whom we are in regular contact as part of the management team. We also actively cooperate with the nearby elementary school to ease the transition from daycare to school for the children. This includes joint projects, exchange discussions, and continuous coordination of educational work.

Teamwork with school

Regular meetings and joint activities take place as part of preschool work. This gives children an early insight into everyday school life, reduces their fears, and ensures a smooth transition.

Teamwork with parents

We consider parents to be our most important partners in education. We maintain open, trusting communication through informal chats, development meetings, and themed parent-teacher conferences. The parents' room offers additional opportunities for discussion and information sharing. Parents can actively participate in projects.

Specifics

Our facility is characterized by a clear educational approach, a holistic concept for promoting health, and a focus on sustainability. The spatial structure, parents' room, gym/multipurpose room, and spacious outdoor area offer ideal conditions for supporting children individually and as a group.

News

News and current information are regularly communicated in our parents' room and on our information board. Special events are also posted digitally on Instagram.

Projects

We work on a project basis and address current topics, children's interests, or seasonal events. Projects can also take place across groups.

Parental Interviews

For quality assurance purposes, we conduct monthly parent surveys digitally. This allows us to receive feedback about our work, as well as parents' wishes and suggestions. Naturally, the parent survey is anonymous.
